Development Operations Coordinator

Equipped with a Master’s degree in International Development and Nonprofit Management from UCSD, and coupled with years of fundraising and writing expertise, Ellen Davis joined the team as Grant Writer in the summer of 2015 and transitioned to Development and Marketing Operations Coordinator in 2019. As a member of the development team, she works to secure funding for Plant With Purpose programs, coordinates internal operations of the development department, and helps improve systems.

Prior, Ellen worked as a grant writer at Voices for Children, with AmeriCorps at Habitat for Humanity East Bay, and conducted impact evaluation surveys for Heifer International in Guatemala. Her extensive domestic and international experiences have shaped her understanding of poverty alleviation and the solutions that address the root causes. Ellen’s love of writing and heart for sustainable poverty alleviation make her a perfect fit for our team.

Ellen enjoys hiking, writing, gardening, board games, and spending time with her husband, Matt and son, Samuel.
