As the Country Director for Ethiopia, Engida carries out a multitude of responsibilities with passion and innovation. Engida provides leadership and guidance for the entire team within our three areas of poverty alleviation, environmental restoration, and stewardship and agency.

He has worked in various humanitarian and nonprofit organizations within his career to heal people and their environment after natural and man-made disasters, conflicts, and disease epidemics. Engida is a proud member of various global platforms including the Migration Taskforce, Africa Region Shared Leadership for Resilience Building, and Africa Disaster Management. He has studied Community Development and Leadership and has a Master's Degree in Livelihood and Development. Engida is a proud advocate for Ethiopian traditions including organic coffee and delicious traditional foods.
