Kristen landed her first post-college job at Plant With Purpose in 2004. Starting as the administrative assistant, Kristen moved up to business manager and eventually took on her current role as Director of Finance and Administration. In this role, Kristen oversees the finance and human resources functions, and coordinates the strategic plan development and monitoring process.
Her passion lies with the concepts of teaming, taking a positive approach, and, most significantly, linking Plant With Purpose’s transformative work in the field to headquarters here in the U.S. She believes the key to building a sense of community within organizations lies in the quality of dialogue people engage in–especially relevant in a world becoming more dependent upon technology and “hands-off” communication. She strives to foster a culture that encourages conversations, alignment with Core Values, and a team mentality.
Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Master of Science in Organization Development through the Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University.
A born-and-raised Southern Californian, Kristen spends much of her time with her daughter, their two herding dogs, and family-friends. Home, for Kristen, is anywhere with loved ones.
