Eric Kaiser first learned about Plant With Purpose when he met our CEO, Scott Sabin, at an ECHO missions conference in Florida in 2001, and was instantly drawn to our vision and work. Eric has since served on the board for several terms and came back most recently in 2017. Eric and his family have visited Plant With Purpose’s programs in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He currently serves on the Internal Affairs Committee.
Educated locally at both SDSU and UCSD, he recently retired from his role as an engineering director at ViaSat. Eric serves as the President of the Widow’s Jar Foundation, which has been an active partner with Plant With Purpose since the early 2000’s. Eric and his wife, Wendy, recently migrated to central Illinois, where they attend All Souls Presbyterian Church in Urbana and enjoy spending time with their three children and four grandchildren. As a Master Gardener, Eric enjoys rolling up his sleeves in his organic garden and restoring historic homes.
