Gillian is the General Counsel and Director of People & Culture at Plant With Purpose, where she helps foster a workplace rooted in trust, safety, and belonging. She’s passionate about aligning legal and people practices with organizational values, navigating complexity with curiosity, and building a culture where everyone can thrive in pursuit of a shared mission.

She’s proud to have led the hiring process for over a quarter of the current team and to serve as the organization’s inaugural General Counsel. Her years living and working abroad continue to inform her cross-cultural approach to international collaboration. Gillian holds a J.D. from Washington University School of Law and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of the South. Long before drafting contracts and shaping people strategy, she was producing Off-Broadway theater in New York—and can still be heard on a few unexpected recordings from her former musical life.
