As a Grant Writer, Jamie crafts compelling proposals that connect funders with transformative environmental initiatives. Combining a love for writing and science, she helps secure critical resources that empower communities and restore ecosystems. Through storytelling and strategic communication, Jamie builds networks of support for both people and the planet.

A deep commitment to environmental stewardship and community development shaped Jamie’s journey to Plant With Purpose. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Chinese Language and Culture from Wellesley College. Her experience includes managing programs at an affordable homeownership non-profit in Ventura, where she oversaw health and safety home improvements for low-income homeowners. She has also written grants for regenerative agriculture initiatives and mentored recently immigrated high school students through college applications. When she’s not writing, Jamie enjoys hiking, foraging for mushrooms, traveling, and trying new food.
