John partners with our Latin America and Caribbean Regional Director as well as country directors in Mexico, Haiti and the Dominican Republic to envision, plan, and achieve our program goals. John works closely with our global partners to creatively design programs, track progress and manage the data that shows the impact of our global work.  Additionally, he works with other members of our International Programs and Innovation Lab teams to ensure our data systems are developing to meet the need of our ever-expanding vision. 

After completing his PhD in Ecology at UC Davis, John served as the Lead Pastor of Discovery Church for eleven years in the university town of Davis, CA. John left ministry in the local church to serve as Chair of the Biology Department at William Jessup University in Sacramento, CA. He continues to teach Biology as an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL. John is an experienced diving instructor, and enjoys exploring the underwater world and sharing the experience with others.
