Taye works closely with the communities within the Ethiopian watersheds to facilitate change. Through organizational methods, Taye ensures the program is run in a way that aligns with the mission of Plant With Purpose. He is proud and passionate about the growing program in Ethiopia and hopes to expand the areas of impact within the country.

Since childhood, Taye used to have an outlook of hopelessness in his life and the lives of his neighbors, as they were unable to meet their basic needs. He is passionate now actively pursuing change in his community and throughout Ethiopia. Nearly 18 years of experience with World Vision Ethiopia has led Taye on a journey of community development and emergency response programs. He also studied seed multiplication and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Science and a Master’s in Rural Development. Taye lives by Psalm 12:5; But the Lord says: “Because of the violence done to the oppressed, because of the painful cries of the needy, I will spring into action. I will provide the safety they so desperately desire.”
