Plant With Purpose, a leading international nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental restoration and community development, is thrilled to announce its expansion into Malawi, marking its ninth country program. With its rich cultural heritage a reputation as the 'warm heart of Africa,' Malawi presents a remarkable opportunity for Plant With Purpose to make a lasting impact on the lives of its people.

Agriculture forms the backbone of Malawi's economy, with more than 80% of the population relying on it for their livelihoods. However, the country faces significant environmental challenges, including soil degradation and deforestation, which have hampered farmers' ability to grow sufficient food and support their families. A large portion of the population lives below the poverty line, struggling to meet their basic needs amidst high unemployment, low wages, and limited access to education and healthcare.
In recognition of its urgent needs, Plant With Purpose has chosen Malawi as its newest country partner, determined to help local communities restore their land and enhance their economic stability through regenerative agriculture and community-based savings groups.
Over the next two years, Plant With Purpose will kickstart a comprehensive pilot program, centered on the establishment of Purpose Groups and strategic church partnerships. By fostering a sense of collective purpose and shared responsibility, the organization aims to create a sustainable framework for change through community collaboration.
With the expansion into Malawi, Plant With Purpose reaffirms its commitment to promoting environmental restoration, economic empowerment, and spiritual renewal to break the cycle of poverty for rural families.
