To Protect a Waterfall

On this damp May morning, they gathered as a group and hiked (yes hiked) down into a deep ravine to plant 500 native trees and other plants along the banks of the Biriri waterfall and creek, the community water source.

Trees and plant life are vital to maintaining the quality, flow, and very existence of water sources like this waterfall and creek. Without vegetation, springs, rivers, and even waterfalls can dry up or become polluted due to loss of groundwater and changes in microclimate.
